Dive Operators Procedures Manual
DAN Asia-Pacific has part funded the preparation of a Dive Operators Procedures Manual. This manual was created by Chris Coxon to assist dive operators in Victoria, Australia to comply with various local Standards and Regulations. However, it can serve as a useful template for dive operators in other places also to help them design a suitable Procedures Manual for themselves. It is attached as a PDF file and may be downloaded as required. DAN AP and its partners in this project hope that it will be of assistance to you.

In-House Researcher Wanted by DAN AP
DAN AP is offering a full-time position in Ashburton (Victoria) to a person with appropriate research qualifications and experience. The role will involve management of the DAN AP dive fatalities database and Project Dive Exploration, data collection from regional chambers, and work on various other DAN research projects. The ideal person would also be capable of conducting high-level DAN training courses.

Medical Position Available at the Hyperbaric Medicine Unit, Christchurch Hospital
The Hyperbaric Medicine Unit (HMU), Christchurch Hospital has a 0.4 FTE medical position. This vacancy will be combined with either Anaesthesia or Emergency Medicine sessions to create a full-time Specialist position.

DAN Asia-Pacific Courses at ADEX 2008 (Singapore) 18-20 April
DAN will be running the following courses at ADEX 2008:
- DAN Automated External Defibrillators (AED) Provider
- DAN On-Site Neurological Assessment for Divers Provider
- DAN Oxygen Instructor (Level 1) Course / Update
- DAN Diving Medicine & Resuscitation Course
