DAN Supported 24-Hour Emergency Hotlines
Dive and travel medical emergencies can happen at any time of day, any day of the week. Callers to DAN’s 24-hour Emergency Hotlines can reach a person who is specially trained and experienced to handle dive and/or travel medical emergencies at any time, day or night.
DAN Member emergency medical evacuation assistance and dive injury insurance policy records are always readily accessible and DAN can make arrangements for timely evacuation and/or recompression treatment.
The provision or funding of 24-Hour Diving Emergency Hotlines is one of DAN’s major services. The medical information specialists and consultant physicians offer emergency consultation to injured divers worldwide. If a DAN Member requires a medical retrieval, these consultants will initiate this process, where possible.
